1. The 2024 edition of the Emmy Awards was held January 16th.
The Bear won Best Comedy Serie, Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy (Aye Edibri), Best Actor in a Comedy (Jeremy Allen-White), as well as Best Writing in a Comedy Serie and Best Directing for a Comedy Serie (Christopher Store).
2. Matthew Perry – late Friends star who died in October 2023 – was honored, among others, at the 2024 Emmys.
Even if the Friends Cast was not invited, ‘I’II be there for you‘ (The Rembrandts) was sang by Charlie Puth and The War and Treaty during the Memoriam.
3. The line-up for the 2024 edition of the Coachella festival was annouced.
Singers like Doja Cat, Tyler, the Creator, Ice Spice, Bebe Rexha, and more will be present. The return of Lana Del Rey has also been announced. The singer had not participate to Coachella since 2014.
4. Taylor Swift was accused by Fox News of being a state agent for the American government, to ‘fight misinformation online’.
The Pentagon immediately rejected the conspiracy.
5. Elton John became an EGOT after wining his first Emmy award during the 2024 ceremony. It means that he won a Emmy, a Grammy, a Oscar and a Tony (EGOT).
He is the 19th person to do so, the last one being Viola Davis.
